Last week, we took a nose dive into the topic of bedding, and explored the merits (and pitfalls) of both comforters and duvet covers. You chimed in with your thoughts on which comes out on top, and now it's time to go shopping for your ultimate pick. Whether you're looking for a comforter or a duvet cover, we scoured the web for our (24!) favorite spots to pick up well-designed bed covers.

Where to Buy Comforters:

Bed Bath & Beyond

  • Price: $$ - $$$
  • What you'll find: Once you get past your usual crop of "fashion bedding", there are some real gems. The selection online is vastly larger than in store, so hoard those coupon codes and dig up your dream comforter set. Some brands of note: Under the Canopy, Vera Wang, DKNY, Anthology, ED Ellen DeGeneres

  • Price: $-$$
  • What you'll find: Fresh prints (both modern and traditional) across multiple brands for the whole family. Threshold is a mainstay, as are Nate Berkus' offerings, and the always lovely Simply Shabby Chic line.

  • Price: $-$$$
  • What you'll find: Everything! Overstock is a silo of comforter options from straight-forward basics to trendy to ultra traditional.

  • Price: $$
  • What you'll find: Macy's bedding leans more elegant and master bedroom-y, though Martha Stewart's collection includes some livelier options.

  • Price: $$-$$$
  • What you'll find: You're likely to score hearty quilts rather than comforters here, but none disappoint for the boho-chic lover.

  • Price: $-$$$$
  • What you'll find: Like Overstock, the comforter selection here is far and wide in terms of style and price point.

At Home

  • Price: $-$$
  • What you'll find: Is there anything easier than a bed-in-a-bag? At Home has a nice assortment (66 in total) of these, as well as budget-friendly comforter sets starting at $39.99.

TJ Maxx

  • Price: $
  • What you'll find: TJ Maxx (as well as Marshalls and HomeGoods) is always a personal go-to for bedding sets. The prices can't be beat, and the offerings are always on-trend and stylish.

Deny Designs

  • Price: $$-$$$
  • What you'll find: With a dizzying array of more prints and designs than we can count, if you're looking for modern, fashionable bedding, look no further.

Thread Experiment

  • Price: $$
  • What you'll find: Thread Experiment may be marketed toward men, but their comforters and matching shams are neutral enough in style that they could work in any no-frills room.

The Company Store

  • Price: $$
  • What you'll find: The comforters at TCS are high-quality for fair prices and made of high thread count silky sateens and crisp percales.

Where to Buy Duvet Covers:

Dwell Studio

  • Price Range: $$-$$$
  • What you'll find: There isn't a bedding set from Dwell Studio we wouldn't put in our own bedrooms. The hardest part is choosing one.

H&M Home

  • Price: $-$$
  • What you'll find: A ton of basics and solids with the occasional lively print thrown in for good measure (like the leaf-adorned set shown above.)

West Elm

  • Price: $$
  • What you'll find: West Elm gets a gold star from us for their vast selection of organic bedding. Their duvets are super soft and come in so many fresh designs.

John Robshaw

Urban Outfitters

  • Price: $$

  • Price: $$$
  • What you'll find: Belgian linen and Italian percale offerings in hushed neutrals for a super grown-up, sophisticated look.

Pottery Barn

  • Price: $$-$$$
  • What you'll find: PB's traditional stylings, heavy on the toile, paisley and damask. High thread counts make for soft and luxurious duvet covers.

Garnet Hill

  • What you'll find: If you can think of a tried-and-true pattern, Garnet Hill probably has it on a duvet cover and matching shams.

Gilt Home

  • Price: $-$$$$
