A little bit of gold goes a long way. You only need a tiny touch of brass detail to add warmth, and a hint of luxury to your kitchen. These projects take no time at all, and have a lot of bang for the buck.

Sarah Dorsey made these amazing brass sconces for $70 each. The lights take about 30 minutes to make and would look amazing installed over a kitchen counter.

The brass bar for kitchen towels is a great addition to this table-turned-kitchen-island from Petal & Ply. The brass casters are a nice touch too.

This wooden dowel paper towel holder from Poppytalk takes about five minutes to make. The end cap is brass so you can leave it that if you prefer.
